McIntyres Move Midwest! (Alternately titled: “Everyone at work has started to call me ‘Bigfoot’, because they say no one can fill my shoes.” or “Oh God! You’re not pregnant, are you?” or “‘Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll move out of there quickly.’ ‘No, you don’t understand. We’re choosing to move there.'”)

It’s that time of year, people. Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and new flip-flops just arrived in the mail. Other than that, nothing big has been going on.

Nothing at all.

Oh.

Except for one thing.

WE’RE MOVING!

Pause for dramatic effect… pausing… pausing… anddddd… ok!

Yes. It’s true. Though, the cat was nearly let out of the bag when my mother commented on my last Audrey post, but we won’t discuss that.

Mom.

Coleman has accepted a new job, which he starts on May 3. So, in just a few short weeks, we will be moving to Indianapolis!

And, if you’re anything like three of my coworkers, right now you’re asking yourself, “Indianapolis? What state is that in?”

Indiana, people. INDIANApolis. The sunshine state! Or something.

There aren’t many details to share yet. Here’s what we know so far:

1. Coleman gave his two-week notice today, finally allowing me to PROCLAIM! this EXCITING NEWS! from the ROOFTOPS!

2. I’m going to Indy this weekend in hopes to find a place to live.

3. My last day of work is this Thursday.

Although, sadly, the end of my employment also means the end of my fascinating  Audrey stories. Truly, I am upset about this. What on earth will I have to blog about now?

Stay tuned for “The McIntyre’s Blog: All Cat Stories, All the Time.”

Here’s how Audrey took the news:

Audrey: “So, what’s the gossip today?”

Jillian: “Well, there is one thing…”

Audrey: “Oh, well you know we shouldn’t gossip. What is it?”

Jillian: “Well, it’s good news, but it’s kind of sad news. I’m –”

Audrey: “OH GOD! Tell me you’re not pregnant!”

Jillian: “Uh, no. But thank goodness I’m not. What on Earth would I say to that? No, I’m moving. To Indianapolis.”

Audrey: “Oh, well thank God! Wait, moving? Oh. Oh! That makes me sad.”

Jillian: “I know. I’m sad that we won’t get to talk as often.”

Audrey: “Well, I’ve never been to Indianapolis. I’ll take a trip! I’ll come visit you in Indianapolis! All the way in… in… Where is Indianapolis?”

So, there you go. Now you’re up-to-date. I’m sorry I’ve kept this from you for so long. Ok, for about a week and a half. I promise, I’ll never keep secrets from you again.

Now, who wants to help me move?

And would it really be that awful to be with child? It’s not a disease, people.

But congrats on moving closer to home! I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys.

Maybe if you’re making more frequent stops home, we can get together again sometime!! :) :) :)
