Vintage Finds March 12, 2014August 19, 2017 by fauxfringe I really enjoy treasure hunting at local thrift shops and antique stores. I never know what unique things I’ll find! Here are some of the latest items I’ve discovered, plus a couple non-vintage splurges. I cannot express enough how much I LOVE these boots I scored at Value World in Fountain Square for $5.00. I feel like they’ve completed my life. They also seem to have completed Turkey’s life, as he cannot get enough of chewing on the laces. I’ve recently started collecting fun coffee mugs. Here’s Fred’s souvenir San Fran cup. $0.89 at Value World in Fountain Square. Here’s a nakey lady mug I bought as a Christmas gift for Bryan. She’s so sassy! (I think I use it more than he does.) From the Etsy store Vintage by the Pound. I bought this antique lightning rod holder because I thought it would make an amazing coffee table centerpiece. Bryan doesn’t understand my vision. From The Inventorialist. I just had to have this wooden peacock from Home Goods. She’s found a cozy home on our dining table. The first night I had her, I accidentally spilled red wine on her. She now has one pink feather. I snatched up these handcrafted wooden sunglasses when they went on sale over Labor Day weekend. They’re from Tumbleweeds Handcraft. (You should also follow them on Instagram @tumbleweedshc because, among posting pictures of amazing sunglasses, they also post lots of pictures of their adorable pets. Kittens, bunnies, dogs. Seriously, go take a look!)
