Last Night’s Show: Father John Misty

Ok, really, it’s last week’s show. My apologies.

Man oh man, I love Father John Misty. He’s talented, his lyrics are quippy and smart (and sometimes sweet), he has hair for days and he’s just an all-around dreamboat. You may remember this post I wrote about his album a few months ago. I still stand by my opinion that “I Love You Honeybear” is a nearly-perfect album, and seeing it performed live made it a zillion times better.

If you have a chance to see him live, go go go!

Technically, Father John Misty opened for Alabama Shakes, who were also great live. You may also remember this post from when I saw them a few years ago before they got super famous. (The most hipster thing I’ve said all day.) But seriously, I clearly instructed you in that post to “catch them on tour while they’re still relatively unknown.” So, I’m not saying I told you so, but…?

Venue: The Lawn at White River

With: Bryan, Katharine, my cousin Jason & his wife Kristi
